Dr. Kari Ann Ryan
Dr. Kari Ryan grew up in Michigan and received her Bachelor's Degree from Michigan State University. She married her college sweetheart, JB Ryan, and together they moved south for careers and southern sunshine. Dr. Kari graduated from the Medical University of South Carolina to receive her Doctor of Dental Medicine.
Dr. Kari completed a prosthodontic fellowship at the MUSC Oral and Maxillofacial Clinic, where she focused on implant restorations, crowns and bridges, dentures, and treating medically compromised patients. Dr. Kari strives to stay current with new technology and materials, and regularly attends continuing education courses. She feels strongly about giving back to the community through dental clinics and mission trips.
When not doing dentistry, Dr. Kari enjoys being active outdoors. She is a runner,
tennis, and beach volleyball player, and loves yoga and swimming. She also enjoys
photography and painting, and attends St. Andrews Church. Above all, Dr. Kari cherishes
her time with her children, Avery and Preston.
Dr. Kari is a member of the Charleston Dental Society, South Carolina Dental Association, and American Dental Association.
Dr. Kristi Dillard
Dr. Kristi Dillard grew up in Murrells Inlet, South Carolina and received her Bachelor’s Degree from the College of Charleston. She graduated from the Medical University of South Carolina College of Dental Medicine, where she met and married her husband, Dr. Matt Dillard. She completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry program at MUSC after graduating.
She and Matt moved from Charleston so Matt could attend The Ohio State University for an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency. Dr. Kristi accepted a faculty position in the College of Dentistry at Ohio State. She served as an instructor in the comprehensive care clinics, taught several freshman dental courses and won three teaching awards during her four-year term. Dr. Kristi then moved with her husband to Okinawa, Japan where Matt served in the US Navy for three years. This time was devoted to growing their family-she and Matt have three children: Lucas, Cole and Ella Grace.
Dr. Kristi enjoys seeing patients of all ages. She is committed to delivering quality dentistry to patients and attends continuing education courses to stay abreast of the changes occurring in dentistry. Outside of dentistry, she enjoys running, hiking, reading and attends Point Hope United Methodist Church. She and her family live in Mt. Pleasant.
Moved to Charleston in 2005 from Knoxville, TN. Go Vols! She has a passion for dentistry and has over 20 years of experience in the dental field. She began her career as a certified dental assistant and furthered her education to become a registered dental hygienist. Lorie has a special interest in providing treatment for periodontal disease. Lorie is married and has 3 amazing daughters and two beautiful twin granddaughters.
Our Office Manager Danyel recently moved to Charleston and comes to us with an extensive dental background. With over 24 years of dental experience, she plays a major role in helping our practice run smoothly and efficiently. She prides herself in excellent customer service and brings a positive outlook on life, making for a fun and welcoming environment for our patients and team. Erika recently moved back to her home state of South Carolina after living in Tennessee for over 15 years. She joined the Kari Ryan dental team in November 2017. She received her Bachelor of Science degree from the College of Charleston in 2001 and pursued a career in dental assisting by completing her education at Midland Tech in 2002. She and her husband have three handsome boys that she enjoys watching on the soccer field. She loves reading, going to the beach, all that Charleston has to offer! Erika will make your visit as comfortable and pleasant as possible!
Rosie has been in dentistry for over 40 years and brings her insurance expertise to the table. Dentistry and insurance is an ever-changing profession and she enjoys being an insurance advocate for our patients. She finds being able to help patients maximize their insurance benefits very rewarding and enjoys learning new things. She enjoys spending time with her family, to include her son who is a mechanical engineer in Florida. Ask for Rosie for all your dental insurance questions!
Kimber comes to us from St Mary’s Georgia where she spent 20 years in the USAF as a dental assistant; retiring in 2016. While serving in the USAF, she earned her MBA in Healthcare Management through Columbia Southern University. In her free time, she likes to read, workout, and shop. Kimber and her husband Michael have three beautiful children; Allexus, Mykala, and Elijah. She will be greeting you with a smile when you come to see us!
Originally from Clemson, SC, Kris moved to Charleston to attend Dental Hygiene School at Trident Technical College and has since made Mt. Pleasant her home. Kris brings over 25 years of dental hygiene experience and strives to make our patients feel 100% informed and comfortable during their visit. To her, there is nothing more gratifying than educating and helping patients overcome their dental fears and to help them recognize the connection between whole body health and their dental health. In her free time, Kris enjoys spending time with her husband, 3 children and her 4 rescue dogs and cat, working out, running and cooking at home.
JC started her career in dentistry in 1998 as a dental assistant. She then attended Halifax College of North Carolina for her degree in Applied Science of Dental Hygiene in 2007. She understands that not everyone enjoys coming to the dentist and tries to create a comfortable and fun environment for her patients. Her favorite part of her job is “sharing the good news of hygiene” and sharing the tricks of the trade to help her patients reach the highest level of dental health that they possible can. She loves music, singing, and family game night. She always has a song ready to sing to the patients and promises she is bringing in a karaoke machine one day.
Lindsey is a native from Georgetown, SC. She moved to the Charleston area when she married her husband in 2016. They are expecting their first child this summer 2019. She graduated from Horry Georgetown Technical College in 2008 with her associates in applied science of dental hygiene and expanded duty dental assisting. She enjoys going to the beach, spending time with her family and dogs, and fishing in her spare time.
